![]() ![]() ![]() Obviously Biloxi is not Las Vegas! Nor Macau for that matter!! However it has a nice location on the coast and the Hard Rock is right on the water's edge although our room did not have much of a sea view. Traveling from New Orleans with a party of 4 we booked just a 3 night stay as a mini-getaway. I say rock less and clean more before a really cool property becomes not so hot. Plenty of staff filled the areas, but not many seemed to be working on routine housekeeping chores. The casino restrooms were in real need of attention, and the general upkeep of the main floor was not up to standard. When we called Housekeeping, they were pleasant as was the Maintenance man who re-keyed the in-room safe, but that was the extent of the hospitality we were afforded. The front desk staff could not bother to interrupt their personal conversation to check us out and continued to chat while we stood waiting and then during the process. The carpet was stained in many places throughout the room parts of the bedding were dirty and caked with previous room service meals. The bones are there, but a sad lack of attention to the cleanliness and general upkeep have left its style tarnished and sad. For four days last week, we returned, and the Tower has taken a turn toward the seedy. About a year ago, the Platinum Tower at the Hard Rock, Biloxi was brand new and sophisticated with an over-the-top style that gave it a definite flair. ![]()
